![]() ![]() Typically this is done by the broadcast mixer or the FOH mixer if we don't have broadcast manned. So we make adjustments during the live stream. Going from band to a single speaker the levels change a lot. We don't use the EQ or dynamics in the ATEM.įor us it's not set and forget. We try to keep the MIC1 meter peaking into the red a little by either adjusting the gain knob or the board output level. We have the mini extreme ISO and find our sound levels on youtube to be a bit low. We keep the MIC1 and Master faders at unity. We set MIC1 to 'line' and our gain knob is around 2'oclock. We have a cable that goes from the two balanced plugs to the 1/8" stereo plug. In our set up we take stereo from our sound board via two balanced outputs. For example if using MIC1 set the fader to unity and then adjust the preamp gain knob until you see movement following the audio input with meter levels around 2/3 the way up. ![]() If the meters are fixed at whatever level you set the fader then you are clipping the preamp. So whatever choices you make in both points above you want to adjust the gain knob so you see movement of the level meters. Then you need a converter.Ģ.) In Software Control you have options to change the MIC inputs- mic, line, stereo, etc.ģ.) The level meters in Software Control are post-fader, not post-preamp. I'll offer some things I've learned from the forum and experience-ġ.) You can try cables that will go from balanced to unbalanced as long as you don't have noise (either ground loop hum or induced EMI). Yes I can boost them in post production, but I'm trying to speed up my workflow. Any thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated. I've tried upping the Mic 1 level in the ATEM Control software but that doesn't seem to do anything to the level of the audio going out to the livestream OR on the SSD.ĭoes anyone have any suggestions for boosting the Audio levels? Also the audio levels are the same volume in the Davinci Resolve project as well. Like when I pull the recording into Adobe Audition the peak level is like -20dB. However when I grab the Audio Recording off the SSD that I attach to the ATEM, the levels are SUPER low. The volume on the LiveStreams are fine, everyone can hear us, and no complaints on the audio levels. When I'm streaming, I can see the levels on the RodeCaster are fine with the Mic inputs and I've cranked the Studio Monitor Output to max into the ATEM. ![]() RodeCaster Pro II Studio Monitor Outputs to ATEM Mini Extreme ISO Via 1/4" L/R audio cables into 3.5mm Mic 1 Input on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISOĪTEM via USB-C to Mac Studio with M1 UltraĮVMUX to LiveStream out to Facebook & YouTube Shure SM7B Microphone via XLR to RodeCaster Pro II I'm live-streaming using the following setup:
